Hotel Sultanham, Istanbul

This is just a short post to show why we loved this hotel. In addition to the staff being very kind and attentive to our needs, it was in a perfect location within a quick walk to all the historic sites we wanted to visit (this is critical as Istanbul is the 16th biggest city in the world, has a population of over 15 million, and a hotel in wrong part means expensive cab trips).

Nearly as appealing to us was the exotic design and furnishings of the hotel. It really felt like we were in a far-off land. And there was plenty of inspiring places for us to do our homework and relax.

Finally, the views from the rooftop restaurant were nearly overwhelming. Every morning at breakfast we were reminded of how blessed we were to be in the historic part of Istanbul!

Sarah says hello from our balcony.
